How to Get Involved

Volunteering with Street Angels

Want to become a Street Angel and help make Halifax and Sowerby Bridge a better and safer place to have a night out, be a part of our community cafe, or maybe you just want to help out behind the scenes? If so please fill in the application form on the right and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible.

Reasons to volunteer

Full training provided
If you’re a medical professional, we’d love to have you on board. If not, don’t worry – full training in emergency first aid will be given.
Support and friendship
The Street Angels are a close knit team and enjoy various social activities and get-togethers.
Make a practical difference
From giving out free flip-flops to party goers with tired feet, to dispensing space blankets and cups of tea, you can enjoy the satisfaction of  making an immediate difference to the safety and well-being of the public.
Share the love
We believe we’re all here to help each other out in life, be part of  a positive difference for the people of Halifax and Sowerby Bridge
“Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve…. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

Martin Luther King, Jr.
